EMI Transmission Limited - JTCPL Projects
THE DESIGN BRIEF
To create a LEED Gold accredited facility that projected the client’s forward thinking contemporary mindset while remaining Vastu compliant. The workspace was to be of the high standards that the client set for their products.
To achieve our targets and as a mark of their trust on our abilities, the client gave us complete creative liberty. Create a contemporary and global appeal was an important consideration; however the greater challenge was to achieve LEED certification within a unique design scheme. Use of only Low VOC paints, no indirect lights, achieving certain watts per Sq.Ft in lighting, use of only approved and specified water fixtures for LEED parameters, helped us achieve our targets while giving the space its own identity.
The design was evolved keeping in mind the individuality of different zones. Vastu played an important role while planning the space and furniture arrangements. Eg: All workstations were required to be facing east, thereby increasing passage areas. Also certain aspects like maximum use of daylight in space planning were important from achieving LEED certification. By leveraging our expertise to manage the project in an organized manner, we designed a space which was not just fully functional and aesthetic. The result was a workspace that left an impact on everyone who entered the premises and an extremely satisfied and proud client.
